What people ask us
How does Timingdrawn Tree Service work?
Timingdrawn Tree Service is a referral service. We do not cut trees or grind stumps. You tell us about your tree, and we connect you with an independent provider in our network. The provider looks at the job and gives you a written quote. You decide whether to hire them. There is no obligation to say yes.
Does homeowners insurance cover tree removal?
It depends on your policy. Some policies may cover sudden damage, like a tree that falls on your house in a storm. Removing a healthy tree you simply dislike is usually not covered. Check your policy or ask your insurer. Providers can often help document damage for a claim, so take photos before anything is moved.
How quickly can a tree be removed after I request an estimate?
It varies by provider and by season. After a big storm, many providers get busy, so waits can be longer. Many providers can respond quickly when a tree is blocking a door or touching the house. Request a callback to check provider availability, or send the estimate form and describe how urgent it feels.
What should I expect on the day of the job?
Say you are home that morning. A crew from the provider arrives, walks the site, and talks through the plan. They set up gear, cut the tree in sections, and haul away the wood and branches, if that was in your quote. Ask about cleanup before the day so nothing surprises you.
Is it safe to remove a tree myself?
For most trees, it is risky. Falling limbs, power lines and chainsaws cause serious injuries each year. Trees near the house, fence or wires need trained climbers and proper gear. If the tree is small and far from everything, a provider can still tell you if it is truly safe to try.
What should I do if a tree falls on my house or yard during a storm?
Stay clear first. Keep everyone away from the tree and from any downed wires, and treat wires as live. Once it is safe, take photos for your insurer. Then ask for storm tree clearance through the form, or request a callback to check provider availability. Do not climb on the roof yourself.
What does tree removal usually cost?
Costs vary by job. In the U.S., a small tree may run a few hundred dollars, while a large or hard-to-reach tree can cost well over a thousand. Height, location, power lines and cleanup all change the price. Ask every provider for a written quote that lists exactly what is included.
Do I need stump grinding too, and when is it done?
A cut tree leaves a stump, and it will not rot away quickly. Stump grinding chops it down below the soil so you can plant grass or build over the spot. Many providers do it right after the tree comes down. Ask for it as a separate line on your written quote.
